Cylekx Tutorials / Timed Capture

Step 1: We recommend you download and study this animated gif (use Winrar to extract). It is a scaled up version of this:

Step 2:

  • Open the Timed Capture tool "Process -> Timed Capture".
  • Open the Cloner and Paste Controls "Mouse Tool -> Cloner".
  • Open the Channel Controls "View -> Channel Controls" (or Ctrl+Shift+C).
  • Open an image "File -> Open Image".

Step 3: A typical setup would look like this:

Step 4: Type "R" to select the "Mouse Rectangle Tool". (This is to ensure something like the "Mouse Hand Tool" is not selected 'cos the hand tool overrides the Cloner tool)

Step 5: Click the start button in the Timed Capture Dialog.

Step 6: Press, release, then press again and drag slowly in the image until you have covered all areas. Release.

Step 7: Press and drag slowly in the image until you have covered all areas.

Step 8: Click the Stop button in the Timed Capture Dialog.

The animation images are completed!

To save this sequence as a gif:

Step 1: Go to the directory where the images were saved. Drag all images into Cylekx and select the option to open them as a "Single Sequence".

Step 2: Click "Sequence -> Organize -> Sort Range". Select "Do All" and "Sort By Frame Text Name".

Step 3: Click "File -> Save As -> GIF". Be Patient! Many large frames will take time to save.
